This article provides instructions on how to add a discussion forum at the course level. Everyone enrolled in the course can participate in the forum. Course-level discussion is typically used for discussing general topics that are not specific to a single course activity. To learn about how to add an activity-level discussion, click here.

Before performing the steps below, make sure you've enabled the Native Discussion app in your school. Click here to learn more.

Step 1

Click Content in the top navigation bar and select Courses. Open a course.

Step 2

Click on the Settings tab.

Step 3

Scroll down and check the box next to Enable course forum.

Step 4

Click Update Course.

Now when learners are in the course, they can click on the icon at the top right corner to access the course-level forum.
