Congratulations! You have rockstar content!
But you’re thinking, wait, I have so many courses, and I do not need learners to access them anymore.
I have new courses ready to go, but I don’t want to lose learner analytics tied to the original courses.
Well, we have the answer! Our feature archiving a course allows you to do just that. You can store away your older courses AND retain original learner analytics!
So what does archiving courses mean for my users?
First, your learners can no longer access the course. If they give it a shot, they will be redirected to their My Courses page. For best practices, we recommend double checking your integrations for archived courses and removing them as needed. In addition, no notifications will be sent to learners about the archived course.
So, how do I archive a course?
Select the Courses tab.
Choose the Actions icon. In the drop down menu, select Archive.
In the pop up menu, select Archive Course.
Now, in the Courses tab, you are able to filter by Live courses or Archived courses.
But wait, there is another way to archive a course!
Select the course you want to archive.
Choose Course Settings.
Scroll down and select Archive Course.
In the pop up menu, choose Archive Course.
But wait! I want my course back!
Great news! Archived courses can be restored. This will re-grant access to the course for learners, and they will be at the exact same spot where they were when the course was archived. However, old notifications that were scheduled before the archive will not be sent.
Great news, you can restore courses under Course Settings.
In the same spot as archiving a course under course settings, select Restore Course.
And in the pop up menu, choose Restore Course.
